Lauren Chester Post papers, 1899-1977.

The personal papers consist of an autobiography (1973); letters pertaining to his service in the Navy (1917-1919) and work in the Mare Island, Calif., Naval Shipyard (1919-1920); and letters from his student days at the University of California-Berkeley and career as a university professor in California and Washington. His professional papers include correspondence, imprints, and other items relative to his work as a geography professor and student advisor at San Diego State University; production materials for Cajun Sketches, Louisiana As It Is, and published articles; research materials on other subjects such as livestock brands, trick roping, folk sayings, Acadian folk culture, and weather; and copies of his M.A. thesis, Ph. D. dissertation, and published and unpublished works.
